they are designed so you can save specific settings or snapshots if you will of different mix states. most people who are not doing it for a living never use this though. You can create automations on digital live mixers.

Yes, the tracks are multitrack / separate, but there's no editing after the fact. Thanks! The Behringer X-LIVE recording functionality does not include moving fader automation. the motoriced faders will work in the SDcard recording? Or they just work only when working with a DAW?ģ) Is there any other digital mixer for recording without computer? after recording them in the sdcard, can I work with them and edit them? Or the digital mixer records the channels mixed?Ģ) In case you can record the tracks separated and work with them. I mean, I record a guitar in the channel 1 and a drum in the channel 2. I have seen two digital mixers that allow to record in USB/sd card:ġ) Is it possible to record separated tracks and modify them after the recording? I have a Tascam DP32sd, but its faders are not motorized so once you change the song it is hard to work with it. My main goal is to have a stable device with reliable preamps, that would work well with my PC for recording and would allow me to make some basic corrections (EQ, gating etc.) on inputs.Hello, I am interested in a digital mixer for recording without using the computer. I'm currently switching from FL Studio (got used to it for 8 long years) to StudioOne. I've also never mixed in a DAW usingĪ mixer, I've always used the mixer channels just as inputs while recording, then mixed everything in the box. I usually record drums with up to 12 channels, sometimes a whole band at once, but I've never needed to use all of my 16 inputs at the same time (hence the Compact/full question). so a simple interface with just gain knobs would be a downgrade for me and would affect my workflow I learned with the Helix. I really do like having physical faders and knobs for channel EQ etc. USE: This would be my main studio mixer/interface. Is there any other significant difference which is worth spending more? However, no - spending over 2000$ does not come into play.

I could afford the full version but I'm not sure if I could use the potential of all 32 channels. Hi there! I'm looking for something to replace my old and noisy Phonic Helix Board 24 FireWire in my studio and thought about the X32 Compact.īUDGET: where I live (Poland) the X32 Compact costs about 1400$ and it fits my mixer/interface budget perfectly. He is the US distributor and I work for Cymatic as a product manager.

If anyone has any questions, Tom and I would be happy to answer them. The uTrack-X32 also can be used as a 32x32 computer audio interface, so you do not lose that ability when you remove the stock Behringer USB card and replace it with the uTrack-X32. Connect Fat-32 hard drive, push hardware recording button on card's rear panel, done. no need to bring a computer to the gig where it could get knocked over, have a beer spilled on it, stolen, etc.

increased stability compared to recording to a laptop The uTrack-X32 card gives the X32 mixer an ability it does not have on its own: the ability to record 32 separate tracks to a connected USB hard drive, with no computer needed.

It can record 32 separate tracks to a Windows or OS X laptop computer connected to the USB port on the X32's stock option card It can record a stereo mix only (NOT 32 separate tracks) to a USB drive connected to the console.

I thought 32 track recording was already possible with the X32.On its own, the X32 can record two different ways:
